  • Petrofac to increase support to Repsol Sinopec Resources UK

    Petrofac is preparing to extend its provision of operations and maintenance services to Repsol Sinopec Resources UK, following an enhancement to its existing contract. Under the terms of its current agreement, Petrofac will provide operations and maintenance support across six additional Repsol Sinopec assets. Around 200 individuals supporting the Claymore, Tartan, Clyde, Montrose, Arbroath and Bleo Holm assets will transfer to Petrofac, following a period of transition. Petrofac already supports six of Repsol Sinopec’s UK assets under this contract.     Medical support company SSI Energy has forged a strategic partnership with Texo Accommodation to deliver modular Coronavirus screening stations in the UK. The partnership will combine SSI Energy’s range of Covid-19 screening and testing services with Texo Accommodation’s range of flexible, modular buildings which offer high-quality, rapidly deployed welfare facilities. SSI has developed screening and testing services delivered by qualified medical personnel, which includes the Covid-19 rapid testing kit.     Bethan Customs Consultancy has welcomed measures from HMRC to support businesses during this period of economic turbulence caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic, but has warned that firms must maintain responsibility for meeting their compliance obligations. The support measures include the potential to delay payment of deferred customs duties and import VAT if COVID-19 has impacted on a business’ finances and cash flow.     Morphosense has completed a two-year collaboration with French group Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (CNR) to develop Digital Twins for three lock gates across the river Rhône. Based on Morphosense’s NEURON system, the real-time Digital Twin combines static and dynamic data originating allowing the integration of data from off-the-shelf sensors – such as weather stations, strain gauges, crack meters, lidars and cameras – with a 3D structural model.     Neptune Energy has announced ambitious targets to reduce carbon and methane intensity by 2030 from the managed production of its portfolio.
