  • Aker Solutions secures two global engineering framework accords from BP

    Aker Solutions was awarded two framework agreements to provide concept and front-end engineering (FEED) services for BP globally. The first contract is for feasibility and concept engineering and the second is for FEED services covering the full range of upstream developments. Each agreement is for three years with options to extend for two years. The work will involve Aker Solutions teams globally. Read more…
  • Cresent announces new sectors and a new appointment to the Board

    Control of Work and Health and Safety Specialists, Cresent is delighted to announce that Warren Thomson, who joined the firm in 2012, has been appointed operations director and invited to join the board. Cresent finished the end of last year by successfully signing off the project completion documents on their first major nuclear contract, worth around £0.5 million. Newly appointed director, Warren, had overseen the delivery of the two-year project, from initial gap audit to handing over the bespoke safe system of work system and the associated training.   • Petrofac secures BP maintenance contract

    Petrofac is set to build on its provision of maintenance services for BP, following the award of a three-year extension to its existing contract in the North Sea. The contract, worth in the region of US$25million, was awarded following a competitive tender process. Under the agreement, Petrofac will continue to provide campaign maintenance and isolation valve sourcing scopes on BP’s North Sea assets, many of which the company has supported since 2009.   • Peterson awarded contract to support Ithaca’s Harrier field development

    International energy logistics provider Peterson has been awarded a contract to provide integrated logistics for Ithaca Energy UK Limited. The contract, Peterson’s first with Ithaca, will be in support of the Harrier field development, which is part of the Ithaca operated Greater Stella Area, located in the heart of the Central Graben area of the Central North Sea.   • NHV awarded offshore contract from Ithaca Energy

    The NHV Group today announced a new contract with Ithaca Energy UK Ltd (Ithaca) to provide helicopter services in support of their upcoming drilling project at the Harrier Well in Block 30/6. The operations are expected to start Q2 2017. Flights will depart from NHV’s base in Aberdeen to the harrier well, which is approximately 150nm from Aberdeen. Read more…
  • Prosafe nets Total contract for vessel at Elgin-franklin

    Total E&P UK Limited has awarded Prosafe a contract for the provision of the Safe Caledonia semi-submersible accommodation vessel at the Elgin-Franklin Facility in the UK sector of the North Sea.   • EnQuest takes over operatorship of Magnus and Sullon Voe

    EnQuest PLC has made a deal with BP to acquire an initial 25 per cent interest in the Magnus oil field as well as a 3 per cent interest in the Sullom Voe oil terminal (SVT) and supply facility. Also included is a 9 per cent interest in the Northern Leg Gas Pipeline (NLGP) and 3.8 per cent of the Ninian Pipeline System (NPS). EnQuest currently has existing interests of 3 per cent in SVT, 5.9 per cent in NLGP and 2.7 per cent in NPS. Read more…
