Wintershall announces North Sea discovery

German oil and gas company Wintershall has confirmed that it has made an oil discovery in the Northern North Sea. The discovery came after the company drilled four wildcat wells five kilometres south-east of the Vega field. Parkmead has increased its stake in the Perth and Dolphin oil fields in the UK Central North Sea to 60.05%.
